We all started off as strangers who happened to live in the same town. Whether it was fate or not, we found each other on the playgrounds of elementary school or in the classroom of high school. I believe in the saying that goes, “People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.”
For a Reason
Those of you who entered my life for a reason, I would like to say thank you. Thank you for teaching me about who I am, what I want in life, and what I want in a friend. You have brought so much laughter, happiness, and love into my life and I will not forget you. Unfortunately, we are no longer friends for whatever the reason may be. All that I know now is that you crossed my path of life to teach me something. I have learned how to be a loyal friend and that loyalty is something to cherish. I have learned that not everyone can be my friend. There are some people whom I will never have a connection with and that is okay. I have learned that people change and with that, relationships change. I can now look back on my past and smile because you have all been apart of shaping my childhood and teen years.
For a Season
To my dear friends who entered my life for a season, I can think of nothing but happiness. In a short amount of time, I have learned so much about all of you and I am comforted to know that I can trust you all. Trust is so special and to know that I can trust so easily can be scary, but you have shown that opening up is important. We build these walls so high that no one can see in, but then we live a lonely life. Thank you breaking my walls down and allowing me to show my true colors.
For a Lifetime
I have learned that it’s not about quantity it is about quality. There are the select few from different corners of my life that I consider to be in my life for a lifetime. You all are so important to me and I cherish every relationship that I have with you. You have stuck with me through good times and bad times, and for that, I am forever grateful. I want you all to know that I am here for you no matter what happens in life. There have been so many memories, laughter, tears, and happiness, and I look forward to so much more in the future. I look forward to college graduations, first job celebrations, engagements, marriages, babies, and growing up together. I love you all more than you will ever know.
