I have weird dreams. I know, I know. You’re probably thinking, “So?” or “OK? So do I. That isn’t abnormal.” But here I am writing about them while you are sitting there, reading all about mine. So HA!
Anyway, I have always had strange dreams, not strange as in having my family or friends involved, but strange as in I think that my dreams mean something. I have had full-on conversations with dead people I once knew, had conversations with people and then think they are real and become confused later when I am awake, had dreams where I know a person but they look completely different. I’ve dreamt that I was in a parallel universe that was made of cat vomit and the only way I could get around was to wade in almond-scented, liquid soap. I’ve dreamt of things that predict the future. You name it, I’ve dreamt it. At this point, if there were a job titled, “Government Dreamer,” I’d be the perfect candidate. I’ve dreamt up such strange concoctions, I decided that starting a segment about them was the best way to go. So without further ado, here is one of my infamous “government” dreams:
I was in New York City and it was mid-day. Traffic was bustling, birds were chirping, people were flooding the sidewalks. It was around 70 degrees outside and I was in shorts and long sleeves. I walked through an alley in order to avoid the crowd of suits and ties coming towards me. As I walked through the alley, I saw a crow. This crow was black, blacker than black could ever dream to be. I stared into its eyes and it stared straight back at me. At that moment I felt the ground shake, the buildings quake. I ran through the alley and saw that the streets had been turned into mud and water began flooding the streets. I saw the crow fly over the cars and rising water.
The water was brown and smelled of sewage. I grabbed a piece of wood and looked up into the sky. It was orange and black, as if the world was splitting in two. This was it. The end. I stayed afloat for awhile, as I swam I felt things under me. There were sharks swimming underneath me, circling. Above me were buzzards, also circling. I swam around in an oval pattern, by this time I was just above the Statue of Liberty, I could stand on top of the flame in her hand. I looked out over the city, which was destroyed by dark water, fire and corruption…
Geez. What a dream. Usually that dream reoccurs every so often. I enjoy dreaming vividly and I enjoy interpreting them as well. I have a theory for that particular dream. I am 95% sure that I predicted the 2016 Presidential Election. A couple of months before President Trump decided to run for the job, I had that dream. I felt something was coming, something terrible. The city represents America, the crow represents a warning, the water represents the government as a whole and the sharks, well you get where I’m going with that.
Regardless of what my dreams mean, they are just dreams. And if anyone knows of an opening for a federal dreamer position, will you let me know? Thanks!
