The Scariest Road In New Jersey

For those who have never heard of it Clinton Road is located in West Milford, New Jersey and is apparently considered the most haunted road in New Jersey. It stretches for 10 miles around Greenwood lake. This simple road is said to have inhabited the strangest paranormal occurrences. There have been sightings of various ghosts, witches and ku klux klan members. When driven the road consists of no street lights which gives the illusion that it goes on indefinitely. When on the road there is no quick outlet to civilization, therefore if something were to happen it would be hard to make a quick get away. It is said that an abundance of people perished along this road.

Many people have said that they have been chased by a ghost truck when entering Clinton road. This truck supposedly follows you and starts to speed up until it is tail gaiting you. Then the headlights of the truck seem to disappear and there is no truck in found. So the headlights that are seen are not attached to an actual car. There is also the story of a boy who was found dead over a small bridge. Legend has it that this boy prevents objects from falling over said bridge so that others are reminded of the dangers of bridges and the story of how he died, if a penny is thrown from the bridge it is said that the boy tosses it back up to you to return it. My friends and I decided to travel along this cursed road to take our chances and see what there is to encounter, and to see if these particular legends were in fact true. Last nights we packed the car with 5 people and drove for 20 minutes to find Passaic county and the one and only Clinton road. When we first entered it didn’t look that scary we encountered a variety of houses and driveways. However, as we continued we started to notice the dark eerie feeling that others described. We were the only car on the road for a while the only thing that gave us vision were the two bright lights that illuminated the long road ahead of us.

As we entered farther into the woods my friend noticed two lights far behind us. My first thought was the Ghost truck. I remember thinking to myself maybe these legends are true after all! As said in the story the said truck sped up until it was right behind us. Naturally we were all freaking out, being that there was no one else on the road and that there was no way of getting out quickly. The truck was now right behind us and the headlights were the only things that was visible from the truck. Since the truck was persistently getting closer and closer we decided to pull over. It passed us, we were all waiting for there to be no truck in sight. But it zoomed away and we all noticed the Jersey license plate located on the back of this white pick up! Honestly I was disappointed, secretly hoping that this story was actually true.

So we kept driving along the supposedly haunted road. The turns became more frequent and more and more cars seemed to pass us from either side of the road. It started to get less and less terrifying because we were not completely alone. Then all of a sudden we were alone again. Just us and the empty road. Until something small in the road up ahead. AHHH what is it? Its so tiny can’t make it out. What if its dangerous? It's crossing! Gotta slam on the brakes quickly!! Car swerved to the side across the yellow line. Headlight still blaring we all look up to see what made us stop. A baby coyote is standing directly in front of us. Screams fill the interior of the car I can feel the steering wheel shake. The animal just looks at us, looks purely curious. He waits there for about ten seconds probably stunned with fear. We did almost hit him. He then proceeds to cross the street we quickly pull out glowing boxes from our pockets to take a photo. Its hard to take it because it is moving we keep trying, until we see another car from the other side of the road coming. Quickly get out of the other lane and pull to the side. The car that we approached pulls along side of us, at first we scream why is this person so close to us, we don’t even know them. Suddenly we all realize that it is an officer. Relief floods through us. I roll the window down. “Are you guys okay?” That’s the first thing that he said. He was genuinely concerned about us and wanted to know if we were okay! He then told me that we needed to keep driving along the road and not to stop. This honestly freaked me out, this made me think that a lot of strange things do happen on this road.

So we kept driving along the dark road. We then saw the bridge that the supposed boy died. We then approached the bridge. As we pulled up my friend tossed a few coins into the lake. We waited five minutes and then sped off into the distance. There was no return of the coins, so this story was definitely a myth. I was very disappointed at the whole thing. This story was definetly a myth. It was very discouraging but the road itself was very interesting and definetly worth checking out!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
