Everyone goes through failure at least once in their life. What would you do if I told you that not every person is defeated in life though?
There are people in the world who say that hard work goes unrewarded. That despite all of the struggles and strifes you can still end up with nothing to show for it. The truth is, you will always be rewarded, just not in the way you'd expect. There are fruits born from failure
The truth of the world is that you can try your best at something, and still fail. That's just a fact.
But, you can also succeed.
You can climb the mountain and find out there's a resting place to mark that you've accomplished everything, or there can be an avalanche that flings you down to the bottom. Even if you fail though, does that mean that you earned nothing?
Many say it's better to try and fail than to be left wondering. That is true, but "trying" has more benefits than knowledge that you tried. Assuming that you fail, you can walk away a stronger person. You can take the lessons you learned from your experience and commit yourself to your next endeavor; and it's only when you refuse to learn and thus quit that you've been defeated.
Failure is a choice in that you choose how much you get out of your experience.
Do you give up and never return? Do you take lessons to heart and promise to not quit? Do you remember to harness your belt on your next climb up the mountain, or do you walk away to pursue a dream that's "in reach?"
How failure affects you is entirely up to you. Let nobody say "never." You may have failed, but that doesn't mean you can't succeed later on. Giving up and not learning from failure is the same as defeat. Whereas failure is guaranteed in life, defeat is optional
If you refuse to grow from your actions, you've been defeated. Every failure is only an excuse to make you stronger. Failure is not choice, but defeat is.
