For years now I have wondered why people want to live in fear of God. With the new policies arising in religion, and new laws being formed in states about homosexuality, it makes me wonder more. And maybe they don’t live in fear, or they don’t think they are, but I often beg the question: “If God is the almighty creator, the creator of this beautiful planet, these beautiful people, and this beautiful life, why would He deny any of it back into His kingdom?” Why would my creator deny me in Heaven because I married a woman on Earth? He created me, He loves me…won’t you love your children? Your child is your creation; your child is you. So by saying it is a sin to be gay, if your son is gay, will you deny him? You think marriage should be between a man and a woman because “God says so.” Then why would God send a soul down with the ability to love one of it’s own gender?
Here is how I see it: there are a few things in life we cannot choose. Hair color, skin color, eye color, our parents, our siblings, our personality, and most of all who/what we love! We just love, that’s it! You know you love "American Horror Story," but you didn’t choose to love it, you watched the show and your brain determined that it liked it. The same goes with people. You can’t choose whom you fall in love with, and I love that so much (it also backs my soul mate belief).
If everyone would stop focusing on everything they hate, the world would be surrounded by love. And can you imagine a world of just love? Don't waste your energy on things you don't like. Rather than complaining all day about Adele's new "Hello" taking over, listen to that new J.B. album and dance the night away. Instead of waking up in the morning and hating homosexuals, why don’t you wake up in the morning and love the person you have lying next to you? If you don’t like something, it doesn’t have to be in your mind, and it doesn’t have to be in your life. Okay, you don’t like gay people; well that’s great, I’m not telling you to love them, I’m telling you to stop hating them. Don’t pay attention to them, and don’t ruin their day because they aren’t ruining yours for being straight.
You are a human, I am a human, we are all human. We all have the same creator, the same world, and the same ability to live and breathe and think. So enjoy each other’s company, stop focusing on what you don’t like about someone, and find something you love! Dive into that person’s thoughts and interests and really learn about them, and learn what you love about them! I have found there is something absolutely amazing and beautiful about each and every one of us on Earth, and that’s why we are here. When did we forget about the beauty of humanity? Think about each other, guys, we are all we have!
