Maybe you grew up watching it. Maybe you binged it for three weeks straight and ate it up like a kid in a candy store. Maybe a late night search for something good on TV led you to a random episode. In whatever way you’ve been exposed to the hit 2000s sitcom, Friends, you have undoubtedly been impacted for the better. Friends is the series that never gets old, the show that people will never stop loving. Part of the reason it’s so hard to give up on this American classic is the multitude of lifelong lessons that were weaved in with the comedy. Under all the hilarious jokes about Ross’s passion for dinosaurs or Joey’s obsession with meat subs are some important bits of advice that help make reality a little easier. Stroll down memory lane and remind yourself of some of the best things Friends taught us throughout the years.

1. Joey doesn’t share food!

2. Thanksgiving is hands down the best holiday:

3. Tanning salons aren’t always your best bet, unless your goal is to look like an orange.

4. Learning French isn’t as hard as you think.

5. Body image is based on self-approval, no one else’s opinion.

6. We’re all mature until someone breaks out the bubble wrap

7. Master Unagi, and you’ll be set.

8. Oven mitts are a good idea when you’re cooking…

9. The pickup line that never gets old.

10. Ross never gave up on his musical dreams, and neither should you.

11. Leather pants are intended for college girls only.

12. Fashion advice can be taken too far, you’ve got to know your limits.

13. As much as we love people, we all need our alone space. Take the "hug and role" technique, for example.

14. When it seems like things just aren't going your way, remember even Ross gives up sometimes.

15. Ross is where we learned all the the best tips on how to be sassy.

16. We learned all the best mothering techniques from Monica.

17. “I’m fine” hardly ever means you’re good.

18. After three divorces, love is still possible.

19. There’s more than one way to flip someone off:

20. Phoebe showed us the real way to run.

21. When you can’t think of how to comfort someone, just whip up some sarcasm like Chandler.

22. Ross and Monica are sibling goals.

23. Rachel showed us that there’s never a bad time to order pizza.

24. Monica taught us how to rock dreadlocks.

25. The importance of being the first to call dibs was brought to us by Phoebe.

26. The best way to say great job is to take it from Chandler:

27. From all the window watching of creepy naked guy we learned that sometimes you just gotta be you, even if people are watching.

28. Phoebe also taught us the definition of being selfless when she offered to give birth to her brother’s triplets (as weird as it was).

29. Chandler gave us hope that we all go through the same struggle to find love.

30. And even if times change and your friends go their separate ways, they’ll always be with you.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
