I've always been one to have a lot of friends. I was the one in high school who was a part of four or five small friend groups and I loved it. However, all of these groups were small ones. Now I am in college, I have survived freshman year and made it out alive with an amazing big group of friends by my side. I know who my real friends are here and I don't know what I would do without them. These are the best days of my life and these people make them even better. Here are the amazing perks of having a big college friend group. Love you guys lots and lots.

1. There's always a birthday.

With a big friend group, there's basically a birthday every month which means you have an excuse to party and celebrate an amazing human being every month.

2. We have lot's of rooms to hang in.

3. You never need to be alone.

You have built in people to do every little thing with. Even when you need some alone time your friends are usually close by which is okay because you just love them so much.

4. There are lots of shoulders to cry on.

You have someone there at any time of day to vent to and they're always down to listen because they love you so much.

5. You have friends from different parts of the world.

From the next state over to across the country to Slovakia your friends are reppin' all ends of the globe.

6. Each friendship is special.

People think you're crazy because you have so many best friends but each relationship is special and unique and you love them.

7. You never eat alone.

Your squad always makes an entrance in the caf and takes up the biggest table but it's cute because everyone is so jealous of the bond you share.

8. You have a built in family.

We are loud, obnoxious and full of love, laughter and arguing... just like a family!

9. We take care of each other.

We are away from our homes, our families and our dogs so we step up and take care of each other because if we don't, nobody else will.

10. You wouldn't have it any other way.

At the end of the day, you can't help but smile and thank God for each and every one of your crazy, loving, beautiful friends.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
