To my first job, Thank You. Thank you for teaching me so many life lessons that i had no idea i would need in life. I started working at the age of sixteen, and I loved it. I was basically a secretary, i answered the phones, filed, typed anything and everything, and I went to banks on a daily basis. Everyone knew who I was when I walked in to drop off a deposit or pick up a package.
Having money and no bills to pay was pretty awesome so i would always go to the mall and buy new outfits for not only me but my sisters. I could go on trips with my friends and not have to ask my parents for money. I had a sense of independents when I started working. I worked for an attorneys office, and I still work for them when I am home from school. (Shout out to my mom for setting me up with the best place to have a first job)
Most people at that age are normally working at fast food restaurants, cutting grass, baby sitting, the typical first jobs. I got to work for attorneys who works with real- estate. Through the years i have learned how to do basic things like answering phones and taking messages. I learned how to stay organized, and the importance of staying organized. I now understand what all it takes to buy a house and how to take out a loan. I have stayed in this office for a long time now and I still learn things every day.
I have also gained some pretty awesome friends over the years, and although I only work with two other people in the office, I have still made friends outside of the office. The people i work with always make me laugh and keep a very positive environment. They have seen me at my lowest and highest moments in life and they have always been there to support me in whatever i do. So thank you to the attorneys that let me be a part of their office and for allowing me to be my crazy self. Even when you found out that i wasn't going to school in pursuit of a law career.
