There are many resources out there such as the internet, videos, magazines and more that talk about cars. However, there has not been one that would give the exact information that people are looking for if they are looking for a reliable car to buy. In addition, especially for college students and people who just want a something affordable and reliable.
Websites such as Kelly Blue Books, AutoTrader, Edmunds, Carsandriver and more provide the general information. They have great recommendations for cars under $10,000, and for many other topics. Yet, none gives the right information to an audience of college students who are getting their first car or people who just want a reliable car. A car that requires minimal maintenance, but goes a long way, simple, it has enough trunk space to pack belongings while moving, high miles per gallons, and packed with tons of cool features that would make one’s life easier.
Books, tuition, food and life are expensive, and adding a car to the list is not ideal for a college student and people who do not need luxury. "On The Rims" is a new Youtube Channel brought to college students by college students who care and want to provide advice on the best car to buy to start off with. The two stars of the channel is Cal Poly Pomona’s very own car enthusiasts, Emma Kalayjian and Danny Hein.
Emma Kalayjian is a CIS major with an innovative mind, and an enthusiastic member of her Sorority, Sigma Kappa. Danny Hein is a Mechanical Engineer major with the passion to make cars go fast. Both are amazing, bright and funny students. Thus why they both make the channel more unique than others as they add in their genuine humor, personality and knowledge to make an ordinary car review video into one that will be worthwhile.
The only cars that will be reviewed will be hand selected and highly researched to ensure they meet the channel’s objectives. These cars will have great miles per gallon, driving experience, history of reliability, affordable and best recommended for the ordinary driver. The channel will be the source to view and find information about the right car to buy. Reliable cars will not be the only thing the channel will be reviewing, but the poor man’s sports cars, affordable classic cars, and other types of vehicles as well. On The Rims is bringing in a fresh idea to the table to benefit students all around.
