This week, Disney Programs announced that the Disney College Program will return to Walt Disney World Resort this June. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Disney College Program, DCP, it is an internship program focused on providing on-the-job experience working for The Walt Disney Company by working at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando or Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. This program is open to college students and recent graduates. The return of the Disney College Program comes after Walt Disney World announced the suspension of the program when they closed their parks in March 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Now that Disney has announced the return of their beloved internship program, a lot of students are wondering what this means. While a lot of the details about the improved and Covid-friendly program have yet to be released. Here is what we know about the program this far.

1. A simplified application process

According to Disney Programs, this new application for the DCP is supposed to be simpler than it has in previous years. In the past, it has required an application, a web-based interview as well as a phone interview.

2. More arrival dates

Disney Programs also announced that their new program would feature year-long arrival dates. This is a nice change for the program, since the arrival dates were pretty limited to certain times within the fall and spring semesters.

3. New rules and regulations

Although they have yet to announce the full details of the program, they did mention some of the COVID-19 precautions that would be taken to protect students. Some of these included wearing masks in common areas, contactless move-in and allowing vaccinated individuals to live with other vaccinated individuals.

4. New housing

One of the more exciting announcements included details about new DCP housing. Now students will have the opportunity to live in the brand new, Flamingo Crossings Village complex.

5. More opportunities

One of the biggest goals with this new program is to provide more opportunities for students to learn and grow as individuals and within the company.

America's biggest party schools

These are known for their lively party scenes

America's biggest party schools
Determining which schools are the biggest party schools is often subjective, but a some statistical factors you could use to make a judgement include (1) consumption, (2) drug usage, (3) strong greek life presence, (4) campus police records etc.

When a student at Auburn was recently asked, she explained: "These schools usually have, like, a super vibrant social scene, lots of Greek life (like my amazing sorority, duh!), and tons of exciting events happening all the time. I mean, we're talking about tailgates, themed parties, mixers with fraternities, and just, like, so much fun. But don't get me wrong, we still, like, study and go to class and all that. It's just that at a party school, the social life and having a good time are, like, major priorities for students."

No Sex And Upstate New York

A modern-day reincarnation of Carrie Bradshaw's classic column

Around the age of 12, when I was deciding whether or not to be gay, Satan appeared on my left shoulder. “Ramsssey,” he said with that telltale lisp. “Come over to our side. We have crazy partiessss.” He made a strong case, bouncing up and down on my shoulder with six-pack abs and form-fitting Calvin Kleins. An angel popped up on the other shoulder and was going to warn me about something, but Satan interrupted- “Shut up, you crusty-ass bitch!’ The angel was pretty crusty. She disappeared, and from that moment forward I was gay.

Senior Year Is Here And I Am So Not Ready For It

I was you not that long ago. I was once an eager freshman, a searching sophomore, and a know-it-all junior. Now? Now I am a risk taker. Not the type that gets you in trouble with your parents, but the type that changes your future. Senior year is exciting. A lot of awesome things come along with being the top-dog of the school, but you, right now, are building the foundation for the next 4 years that you will spend in high school. I know you've heard it all. "Get involved", "You'll regret not going to prom", "You're going to miss this". As redundant as these seem, they're true. Although I am just at the beginning of my senior year, I am realizing how many lasts I am encountering.
