Hip-hop has changed dramatically in the new age. There are so many different artists for various persons taste. Everyone has their own unique sound which creates a new sound for the world to hear. Hip-hop has crafted a new sound for itself, changing and evolving into a form of art. When rappers release their music they release a project or a piece of art. Music has evolved so much, even the sound has changed bringing in artists like Young Thug, Chance The Rapper, Odd Future and Travis $cott. Some hip-hop fans are enraged, "the content just isn't the same anymore, where is the message." Thats the beauty of it, the message can spread through different artists. What makes hip-hop so great, is that we can incorporate any sound, or preference and make it ours. Rappers can be rockstars, pop artists and R&B singers all at once.

If you want to hear music with a message you can vibe to Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar.

In to trap music? We have Migos, Kodak Black, and Future.

Searching for a project that is upbeat, and melodically retro try Young Thug and Travis $cott.

Looking for something weird, gloomy, and upbeat? Listen to Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino or Odd Future.

There is also "stoner" music as well, let Wiz Khalifa, and A$AP relax you.

We have something for those who like to sing upbeat, fun and sexy music, too! Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown and Drake.

This new sound of Hip Hop has created their own elements of hip-hop. These artists have defined the laws of hip-hop generating these 5 elements: 1. Sampling 2. DJing/Producing 3. Fashion 4. Rapping and 5. Art. Each artists usually has their own DJ or Producer that makes their beats for their song, more so behind the scenes the producer engineers the song and makes the beat we love to dab our heads to. These producers/ engineers use most of the time use samples from other songs to produce a new upbeat sound. For instance, Drake's producer 40 sampled a piece from artist D.R.A.M.'s "I like to Cha Cha" and used it as an instrument and different sound recording, creating of Drake's many #1 Hit Single's "Hot Line Bling." Sampling plays a major role in hip hop, it helps create a base for new content. There are so many great sounds in this world, re-creation is apart of evolution. Fashion has taken over the world of Hip-Hop. Artists like Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, and Chris Brown deeply invest their time and craft into their clothes. So many artists have created clothing lines, shoes, and signed with major companies like Nike, Adidas, Balmain and Vogue. Music is an art, a masterpiece for visionaries to express for the world. Content that can never die, music will be with us forever, we will never forget where hip-hop began but we will acknowledge how much it has grown. This new age of hip-hop is not something you want to miss, stay tuned there is so much more in store. Be creative, be fresh, and be inspired!

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
