While being a student in college, there is no other person but your roommate that you would ask a numerous amount of questions to on a weekly or daily basis. Between going to classes, hanging out during the evening and going out on the weekends, how else are you going to know when, or what kind of plans to make?

1.) What time is your first class tomorrow?

We all have our own schedule and they are most likely different compared to our roommate's schedule. And sense it's impossible to keep track of your own priorities and your roommate's all at once, how else are you going to know what time the alarm clock has to go off in the morning.

2.) What time do you wanna go to dinner tonight?

No girl wants to eat dinner by herself. So while having your roommate around she's mainly going to be the first person you ask on what her evening plans are. Whether it's going out to eat on the weekends, or taking a trip to the dinning hall or market cafe to get a quick bite to eat.

3.) Is your WiFi working?

It's pretty common and frustrating on any college campus for the WiFi to be slow since at least 90% of the school is probably on there laptop trying to compete a homework assignment, or skimming through there phone on social media.

4.) Do you wanna hangout this weekend?

Whether it's studying or planning to get a break from campus, your roommate is most likely always going to be first person you ask on what her plans are for the upcoming weekend.

5) Can I borrow ______?

A hair tie, a pen, a shirt, you name it! While living together for the school year there is complete guaranty that you will both be borrowing each others clothes for an upcoming special event on campus, or having to borrow something right off of the spot at any moment like a cell phone charger.

6) Do you wanna order take out?

Let's face it, you're in college. And when it comes to taking 2-3 exams a week, writing portfolios that are due the end of the semester, and reading 2-3 chapters in your textbook in one day, stress brings you to the point of wanting to order pizza or Chinese food with your best friend.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
