"Confidence, not cockiness. Knowing who you are is confidence. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone's throat." -Mila Kunis
Confidence is being sure of yourself. It's being a go-getter and knowing who you are. It's knowing your worth, but being humble at the same time. It's treating people nicely and actually meaning it.
Confidence isn't something you throw in the faces of others. It's not assuming everyone loves you. It's not acting like you're perfect or acting like you're above others. It's not tearing others down to make yourself seem better.
Confidence is inner and outer beauty. It's not just a pretty face with a disguised pretty heart. Confidence is kind and genuine. A confident person throws kindness around like confetti. A cocky person throws out kind compliments but expects one in return. A cocky person doesn't do anything unless there is something in it for themselves.
Confidence is the ability to do things for others without expecting anything in return. It's being an actual good person and standing up for what you think is right. Confidence is far from cockiness; you mustn't mix the two up. When that happens, a person who had the potential of being a beautiful person inside and out instead lives their life being a person with a beautiful exterior but an ugly interior.
"True self-confidence never needs to degrade the confidence in others in order to grow and survive. If it does, it's not confidence at all... it's ego."
