Are you the type of person that gets stressed out? Do you like baking? Do you ever feel that these two things tend to correlate in your life a little too well? If so, you may be a what I like to call a chronic stress baker---the type of person that will bake five separate items in one night to avoid all of their responsibilities. I am here to tell you that you are not alone.
We feel that if we can satisfy others with our brownies and buffalo chicken dip, then we are being productive and active members of society. Because let's be honest, who doesn't love a good tray of food fresh out of the oven at any given moment?
Food makes people happy. Happy is good.
If you live with roommates, they will love the fact that you bake things and might even look forward to your busy weeks, because they know they'll get food out of it.
Yeah, I'm onto you.
Until they find out how much cheese you actually use in that baked mac & cheese or how many calories are in a cookie.
Oops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And then, since no one is eating the food you're making (probably because there's physically too much for them to consume), you get a little emotional.
This is the moment you worked for and now it's gone to shit.
Now you're emotional and still stressed, so there's only one solution that really seems logical to you.. MAKE MORE!
Then you try to go to bed, but you're still stressed because you didn't do anything you were supposed to. You get back up to do your work, but somehow end up in the kitchen until 4 AM with enough food to feed an army.
But hey! You're who everyone wants to have around during the holiday season!
No matter what the occasion, even if your friends and family do want to kill you from time to time, always remember that your food is loved and appreciated.
