How did Donald Trump win?

I'm sure by now you've heard that the next president of the United States is going to be Donald J. Trump, and I'm also sure some people are not very thrilled about it. Everyone thought Hillary Clinton was going to win. I mean everyone the democrats, the republicans, the trump democrats, the independents, and especially Hillary Clinton herself. Honestly that may be the main reason why people are so upset, because no one saw it coming. So the question on everyone's minds now is how did this happen?

Well I'll let you in on the dirty little secret the media isn't telling you. Things are not working. Obamacare isn't working. The current immigration system isn't working. The economy isn't working. The entire system itself is turning into one big corrupt mess. However, no one was saying that, even though half of America was feeling the consequences of it. Donald Trump gave a voice to those in America who felt like they were left behind and abandoned by their government. He was speaking directly to them and telling them he understands their frustration. Hillary Clinton on the other hand couldn't relate to most average working Americans. The election came down to Wall Street and Hollywood verses the rest of America.

Hillary Clinton could have won, but Donald Trump's message was better then hers. Trump's campaign was a message of change and someone saying I'm with you, but Clinton's was a promise that things would remain the same. Sometimes she would try to talk about change, but how could she preach change when Obama campaigned saying she would protect his legacy?

Bottom line is Donald Trump will be the next president. People can argue, riot, protest, get into social media fights, but it won't change a thing. The real protest happened on November 8th at the ballot box. Americans voted for change and that's what they got.

America needs to come together, because if not Donald Trump won't be the one to destroy this country, we will destroy it ourselves. Yes, some republicans didn't respect the Obama presidency, but most of them did. Whether we agreed with him or not we were all nited in 2008 and 2012. We need that unity right now. Donald Trump wants to put America first again, there's nothing wrong with that. America needs more secure borders. America needs a better health care system. America needs to be safe. America needs to restore its economy. America needs to be great again.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
