I have always been a fan of Kylie Jenner and especially jealous of her lips. So the minute I found out that she was coming out with her own lip line, it was like all my dreams had finally come true. If you have been lucky enough to get your hands on a Kylie Lip Kit you have got yourself the best matte lipstick money can buy. These suckers are hard to get your hands on! They sell out in 10 minutes or less and you never know when the restock is coming. The only time you know when the restock is, is if you pay $2.99 a month for the Kylie app and they announce it on there.
Okay, now what you really care about, the review. First of all, it’s made by Kylie Jenner (aka the queen of everything lips related) so you can already assume this product is going to be amazing. Even the packaging is so beautiful I have it displayed in my room. The lip kit comes with a liquid lipstick and a matching lip liner. The lip liner is a soft point pencil and it goes on so precise you never go “out of the lines” on your lips (unless you choose to over line them.) Also, if you choose to only wear the liner it looks exactly like matte lipstick! The liner is a tiny bit lighter than the lipstick so if you want a less dramatic look, just wearing the liner is a perfect idea for you. What’s also great about the liner is that if you touch it, it will not come off and it lasts all day and night long.
Now… the star of them all... the matte liquid lipstick (insert halo here.) The lipstick comes in eight different shades and ranges from nudes, to pinks, to orange, to purple, to red. Kylie also just announced that she is coming out with three metal matte lipsticks that make your lips glisten in the sun. Personally, I never thought I would be a fan of having sparkly lips, but man I was wrong! The lipsticks come with a small brush to apply with and it is super soft on your lips. The lipstick glides on smooth and it doesn’t settle into the creases in your lips. A bonus is that it smells and tastes like cupcakes (without the calories!!!) As soon as you finish putting it on, it dries within seconds. You could scrub your lips and not even a little bit of it will come off. It also lasts all day long, I usually put it on at 9am and even after eating and drinking all day, at 10pm it still looks fresh. There is no need to reapply every time you take a sip of your drink like normal matte lipsticks make you do. Another great feature is that you can’t even feel like you’re wearing anything on your lips. With other matte lipsticks, it can get heavy and cakey. With the Kylie Lip Kit, you get the glamorous look of a matte finished lip while it feels as though you have no lipstick on. The best thing about these kits is the price. At MAC cosmetics, Too Faced, Anastasia or wherever you like to buy lipstick from, liners can cost up to $20 each and lipsticks up to $30 each.
