It's that time of year again, April, the worst month for any college student. The dreaded finals week is approaching and students everywhere are becoming sleep deprived from studying, researching, or writing for hours on end. If you are a fan of Parks and Recreation, you know that Leslie Knope is the perfect person to represent these feelings of stress and panic during the last few weeks of school. Here is a list of things that concerned family or friends may say to us, things we will probably do, and say during this "wonderful" time of year.
1) "You seem a bit cranky and stressed, maybe you should get more sleep."
2) "Are you doing okay? You seem flustered and busy all the time."
3) What you eat and what you wear to class during those last few weeks is given little thought. You really don't care what people think at this point. You are just trying to make it through each day.
4) You find yourself becoming so close to having a breakdown that anything could trigger it, anything. Even something that has nothing to do with school or tests.
7) Just sitting there thinking about your finals can change your mood instantly. One minute you are happy then the next minute you realize how much work you still have to do.
8) When the professor hands out a paper with more things that going to be on the final. Gotta stay calm and collected.
9) It is all about positive attitude. Once you have that, you can do anything.
10) Sometimes pep-talks are beneficial...even if they are to yourself.
11) After studying for so long your white boards end up looking like this. It's a pretty normal sight. Yet. So. Much. Information.
12) When you overhear other students saying that they don't have any finals during finals week. How can you not respond to that?
Although there are only a few short weeks left until finals hit, do be sure to work your hardest, (which you have already been doing, duh)! Make sure to have a good nights rest, it will help your brain and even your test scores.
Only a few weeks away from summer break, just keep that in mind. Then once you are finished, you can go out with friends and celebrate, you deserve it! You can't just go dancing, you have to go dancing Leslie Knope style!
Good luck everyone! You've got this!!!
