Let me just get this out of the way because I probably won't be able to control myself... SPOILER ALERT!
If you were a huge fan of the show like me, you would understand the butterflies and that today brings. It almost feels like it's December 24th. It's been a long few months since the last time we saw a new episode on HBO. That last scene is still imprinted in my mind above all the hectic things that went down in Winterfell and King's Landing. (You have been warned of spoilers.) My favorite character, Jon Snow, lies in the snow, bleeding out. When the black screen after every episode showed, I see myself with my mouth wide open in the disbelief of what had just happened. I wanted nothing more than to see each of the Night's Watch to burn, feel the wrath of the White Walkers, literally anything to see them perish.
Throughout the seasons, I have learned to try to refrain from choosing favorite characters because it ultimately leads to nothing but heart break. Nevertheless, I am excited for what's to come tomorrow. Some of the things I look forward to the most is the return of the youngest Starks have been something I wondered throughout the fifth season. What have they been up to? What's been happening to them? Although my prediction of the whereabouts of Rickon have still been dead wrong, at least we see that Bran is upright and standing in the new trailers. Jon Snow also makes an appearance in the trailers. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if Melisandre makes an appearance and revives the bastard Stark. What about Arya? That part of the story still confused the hell out of me. What exactly is she trying to be? What does it exactly mean to be no one? Finally, who could forget about this new badass Sansa Stark? She had just survived physical and mental torture brought upon by Ramsey and the Boltons. She's on the run with Theon, who has suffered much worse pain and for much longer than Sansa. I can't wait to see what's coming our way in the North.
Of course there are endless questions that we are looking for answers for in these trailers but I'm sure I'm not alone in being the most interested in the North storyline. As a Stark fanboy, I've seen enough pain that the family has suffered. Surely it has to turn around eventually for them, right? My money is still on Rickon Stark coming back, all grown up, ready to avenge his family.
