The Horrors of Formal Season

Spring has sprung, and the end of the semester is quickly approaching around the corner. Before the thought of finals even eclipses a young sorority girl's mind, we first must get past the real thing that keeps us up at night in fear, formal season. Sure there are plenty of things to look forward to when it comes to, but there is so much more that goes on before the candids in pastel dresses get posted to Instagram.


Finding out your formal date is the same night as another sorority/fraternity


Then realizing this means you have to act on a date FAST

Buying five different dresses even though you haven't guaranteed a single date yet


Then trying them on at home and realizing you hate every single one of them


Hitting the gym one week before the big day to make sure your "in-shape"


You decide to start drunkenly asking all of your guy friends to go with you and wake up the next morning with five different dates

Stalking the Facebook post and seeing that someone is taking your ex-boyfriend


Having a bitch fit and threatening your friends that you're not going to go anymore

Then when the night finally arrives you realize all of this stressing was over nothing because no one ever really remembers formals anyway.


Your dress will fit fine, your date will be hot (no matter who it is), and your night will be blurry by 8:00.
