Music festivals are a great way to hear the artists you love, discover new music, and make quality memories with your friends. If you want to make the most out of your experience, just follow these helpful tips!
1. Make a checklist prior to leaving
Don't ruin your time by forgetting something you majorly need.
2. Pick your outfits out ahead of time
There is no need to haul a bunch of clothes to a music festival. Pick out your outfits and plan them day-by-day. Bring an extra cardigan for chilly nights, and a set of night clothes. There is no need or room to over pack for festivals.
3. Stay hydrated
There are hot, sweaty bodies everywhere, and you are one them! Don't miss out on the fun by getting dehydrated. Keep a water bottle on you at all times or invest in a water bag and clip it on to yourself.
4. Plan out your schedule
There will be multiple artists performing at the same time, so decide which ones you really want to see. Perhaps you are stuck between two people who go on at the same time? Stay for half of the first, then go to the second, that way you will not regret not seeing one or the other.
5. Protect yourself from the sun
With all of the fun, you are having, it may be easy to forget about keeping your skin protected. You must remember that you are outdoors, in the sunshine the vast majority of the day and that sunburns and people constantly bumping into you, is a very very bad combo.
6. Do not forget your portable charger

7. Do not rely on your cell phone
In reference to number 6., you cannot solely rely on your cell phone for communication with your group. Arrange meeting times and places, just in case someone's phone stops working or loses service.
8. Avoid wearing things with pockets
When wearing pockets, it is easier for things to fall out of them. It is also easier for people to steal from pockets. Play it safe and grab your handy dandy fanny pack. If that just isn't your style, try a small cross body bag.
9. Avoid rompers
The romper may seem cute when you picture wearing it at the music festival but just think of using the bathroom. More than likely, you will be using port-a-potties and public bathrooms. Do you really want to completely undress in those places? Ew. There are a million better clothing options out there than rompers for festivals.
10. Bring a waterproof bag
It might rain, so why risk your items getting soggy/damaged? Pick up a tiny waterproof bag before you head out.
11. Wear your hair back
It may seem like a great idea to wear your locks down, but as soon as the heat picks up, you will be regretting it. Get your hair back out of your face when you style it in the morning for a more comfortable experience.
12. Be pleasant
It is easy to get grumpy when you are hot and tired, but festivals are fun, so remember to be nice!!
