Roughly two years ago I kept having these dreams over and over about this faceless girl.
Generally, when people dream they have a cryptic message or are completely transparent. In my case, I think it was in the middle - maybe my brain was trying to tell me something.
Every scenario started out completely different. I'm some cases I was in a dense forest and in others I was in an abandoned apocalyptic city dressed in cracks and ivy. I would begin walking but I always had this feeling someone was watching over me. Eventually, I ran into this faceless figure that, depending on the scene, would be looming on the top of a hill or would run up to me and introduce herself. Her appearance (hair and clothing-wise) was never the same. Some dreams she had blonde hair, the others black or red.
It was always an adventure of some sort - running in and out of danger, dashing through the forests, or sharing the warmth of the sunset on a hill. There always existed a mountain of some sort, but not the typical ones we see. One was entirely caressed in a steampunk grandeur.
At the peak of the mountain always rested two gliders which we would use to fly down the mountains gracefully (with the occasional twist and turn). In one such occasion, it was night time with only the moonlight to light our flight path down and there were a school of hot air balloons - each equipped with a spotlight on it. It was raining and we found ourselves weaving inside and out of the balloons as if it were a scene out of Disney.
Finally, we reach the base of the mountain where she usually stands facing the other direction. Exactly like the other dreams, she always turned towards me and mentions the fun we've had and asks if I'll remember her. Of course, I say, "Yes". She then makes her way towards me and her face begins to appear, but before I can make out who she is in her facial appearance, the dream ends and I wake up.
The dreams were always so much fun, they've since sparked a song, a few pictures, and even a comic from me because I enjoyed it so much. I'm still not sure what it meant, but this story is always fun to share!
