To the Girl Who Didn't Marry that One Boy

You're going to be okay.

To the Girl Who Didn't Marry that One Boy
Bailey Laytham

To the girl who didn't marry her boyfriend she gave everything to,

It's okay. There will be another boy you will far for harder. The nights that seem so endless and dark will begin to feel comfortable again. The pictures of you and him on the wall will make you smile one day, if you haven't ripped them down already. The several years of being together will feel like hell right now, but soon enough you'll be able to thank him, for making you happy, letting you grow and now you're both set free to bigger and better things, if that's how it's supposed to work out.

Don't worry, there's an ending to the pain, and it's good to be sad for a little while. Someone who was your life is no longer part of yours, and it cuts deep, but know that there is a plan and if you don't know Jesus, use the time you have in your sorrows to find Him.

Being a girl, we often find ourselves looking far into the future with the person we're with, when that isn't really the person we'll be growing old with. Even though at the time we see ourselves with no one else. All of a sudden, everything you've known for so long is gone, and you don't know how to handle it, and that's okay too.

One of these days, someone will walk into your life and you'll then realize that this is the person you're supposed to spend the rest of your life with, and maybe you're right, and it's this boy you're thinking about as you're reading this. Or, maybe, its someone that you haven't met yet, and God is waiting for the most perfect moment to drop him in your life for the beginning of the last love you will ever have. The pain you feel in your chest right now is temporary, so don't hit the self-destruct button just yet.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
