To The Friends That Made Me Who I Am

Friends have always been my rock.

Half the time I don't even consider them friends, I consider them family. I have always followed the idea of make new friends, but keeping the old. My friends have taught me so much in my life already which makes me so thankful for them. They have come to my rescue when I need them. They know how to make me laugh and the embrace my weird personality.

We compliment each other in so many ways that it is hard to describe. I know how much I care about my friends, and I want them to know that I would drop anything in order to be there for them. They are one of the most important pieces in my life, and I am so happy to call them my friends.

To my girl squad at school, you have taught me that it is okay to be quirky. You are a group of girls that is extremely accepting and loving of everyone around you and that makes me the luckiest girl in the world. You all work hard and have given me so much room to grow.

You are always there to pick me up when I am down. and I always love just being around each and every one of you. I love the constant socials, dinners, sleepovers, and tailgates that I get to spend with each and everyone of you. These are some of the best memories I will have in college and I am lucky that you are all a part of them.

To my friends since day one, you guys have seen it all and been there for me in every moment that I needed you to be. You have seen my weirdest moments and my longest cries. Though we may be at all different schools and not see each other as often, we get back together any chance we get. We have shared a million meals, many of them being brunches.

We have had some extremely fun trips and adventures that I hope to cherish for the rest of my life. You guys have taught me how to be loving and adventurous. You have taught me to go for anything that I set my mind to and you guys will be there the whole way as well.

To my 3/3, you guys have taught me to continue to laugh through anything.

You have shown me so many fun things like different concerts and types of music. We have had so many fun and wild adventures on the lake, Cedar Point, and will continue those at Lollapalooza this year. You allow for me to be confident in myself and I love your kindness and spontaneity. I have grown up so much since we've become friends and I am so happy to have you by my side through everything. I hope you both can continue to grown and strive like I have seen you both do.

To my best friend. You have gone above and beyond in such a short amount of time for me. You are about to go on one of the most exciting trips of your life, and I truly believe it will help you grow as a person. You have done so much for me and continue to help me grow as a person. You continue to bring so many laughs into my life. You have taught me how to be happy with myself no matter what. You have also taught me to be centered and loving towards everyone. Your big heart has created such an immense amount of love for everyone around you and that is such a blessing to have in my life.

So, to all of my friends, thank you for making me who I am today and for letting me grow in so many different ways. I am so blessed to have you in my life and I am so thankful to call you guys my friends.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
