It’s that time of year again to pack up everything from home and head back to Wake! Here are the 5 stages of moving in:
- Denial
You can’t believe summer has already gone by and it’s time to make that 14 hour drive back to Wake! You're still trying to make plans with high school friends from back home, but there's no time left to meet up before everyone heads back to their respective colleges for the year. - Anger
Why is it SO hot out? And humid? Why did you have to live on the fourth floor with no elevator? - Bargaining
The U-haul should have been some indication, but after you've made five trips to the storage unit, you realize you might have overpacked. Did you really need 60 pairs of shoes? You start bargaining with your dresser, "well maybe if I stuff it all in the back, it'll be fine." - Depression
The realization that this is your SENIOR year, the final year of college, hits you hard. You're sad and mad and anxious and excited all at the same time. - Acceptance
Once you move in and see all your friends walking around campus, you can't wait to be back.
Welcome back!
