These Presidents are the best of the best. They lead the US through the best times this nation has ever had.

1. George Washington

Without George Washington, there simply is not the United States. He was the most important figure in the American Revolution. The former British soldier is widely respected as a patriot of this great nation known as the United States.

2. Abraham Lincoln

Honest Ab Lincoln was president during the most turbulent time in this countries history. Ab had the most power of any president in US history but he was the figure head for a Union that he knew should stay together. Lincoln was a huge influence in keeping this country together.

3. Franklin Delano Roosevelt

The Great Depression and World War Two were the two most turbulent decades of the 20th century. FDR turned this nation into the economic and military superpower that it is today.

4. Ronald Reagan

Ronald Reagan defines what the Republican Party is. Most well known for ending the cold war. Reagan was a true patriot whose love for America never faded. If not for the Iran Contra scandal he would be listed higher on this list.

5. John Fitzgerald Kennedy

JFK's president was a presidency of great tension. He led the nation through the hottest period of the cold war. His greatest accomplishment may be guiding the country through the Cuban missile crisis. When all of the worlds were expecting total nuclear annihilation, JFK sought peace and diplomacy.
