The semester is coming to a close, so you shouldn't be stressed out, right? Wrong. You're more stressed out than ever, and the thought of finals has you running for the hills.
Luckily, Shia LaBeouf perfectly embodies every situation you are in at the end of the semester. Here are just a few thoughts we've all had at the end of the semester.
"Be on the lookout. I just updated your grades on D2L."
"Oh no, this can't be happening. It's too soon, I haven't had time to prepare myself."
"Hey, did you do that extra credit assignment?"
"Ha ha ha...wait what? We had an extra credit assignment?!"
"Yeah, it adds 5 points to our final grade!"
"Oh god."
"Your final exam will be cumulative."
"Honestly is he trying to kill me? I think someone said he gives out a study guide though."
Not receiving the study guide.
"And here I thought you were my favorite teacher."
"I am exempt from three of my finals because I have an A in the class!"
"Awesome. Yeah. Please tell me more about how great you are."
Leaving a final you didn't study for.
"No really, I swear I am fine. I only needed to pass this test to keep an A in the class. I guess a B might be OK..."
Getting said test back and getting that A.
"You want to go out for our last Thursday of the semester?"
"She has to be joking right? I have at least five papers due next week... and a lot of Netflix to catch up on."
See's Snapchat of therapy dogs in the library.
"Of course. The one day I decide to study at Black Bird they bring the dogs to the lib."
"Hey, let's get Gringos for dinner tonight!"
"I have $.82 in my bank account. I bet she's just asking me to rub it in."
"I guess we can just eat left overs."
"Our left overs include ramen, ramen, and, oh, ramen. No, I don't want leftovers. I guess I'll just skip dinner tonight and hope my roommate brings home something."
Wakes up, still no food.
"I don't think I've been this hungry since mom left me to fend for myself that one time in high school."
Mom calls you, "Are you sure you are not sick? You sound awful."
"No mom, I'm not sick. I might not have slept in three days, but I feel like a million bucks."
The end of the semester is far worse than anyone likes to lead on. It takes strength, patience, and endurance to make it the final two weeks after Thanksgiving break. It's okay that you have cried four times today. Push through to the end because it will all be worth it when you get to go home for an entire month.
