We’ve all been there. Whether you’ve been single for a while or have just gotten out of a relationship, you’re in that single stage. If you’re like me, you’re spending your time fighting between living your single life up, and crying while consuming multiple pints of ice cream in bed. However you choose to spend your single life, here are the different stages of being single we all go through as told by the cast of Parks and Rec.

1. "I don’t need to be in a relationship. I’m fine on my own.”

At first, you're all well and good. Being single is going to be great for you.

2. “This is great! I can do whatever I want, I’m the only one that matters.”

In this stage, you go out and buy a whole new wardrobe, get a new haircut, and only worry about yourself. It's a whole new realm of freedom.

3. "I’m so alone. Only my dog loves me.”

This is where the world comes crashing down on you. You feel like no one loves you and you feel all alone. But don’t fret, at least you have your dog.

4. “I’ll just drink until I forget I’m single.”

At this point, all you want to do is get drunk. This is a great stage.

5. “That didn’t work, maybe I’ll just sleep forever.”

Never getting out of bed.

6. "Man, I really just need to get laid.”

The hormones are raging. It's been a while.

7. “Time for a new me. I’m going to workout every day and eat healthy 24/7. I’ll show them.”

This stage will probably last three days.

8. “That didn’t work the way I wanted it to I guess I have to just eat everything.”

9. “You know what, my best friend will give me love.”

Your best friend is really the only person you need in this world.

10. "You know what, I actually am fine and will be okay on my own. I love being single."

This time, you actually mean it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
