4 Reasons Why Pineapples Definitely Belong On Pizza

You are either for it, or against. There is no in between. A countless number of people have lost friends and have had family turn on them all because of this never ending debate. It is tearing us apart limb by limb. With every other problem that is currently happening in the world why does this topic seem to be so extremely important for being such a small thing. There is a solution to this madness; simply love one another unconditionally.

"Pineapple on Pizza." Now you either just furrowed your brow in disgust or that was a completely normal string of words and you thought nothing about it. The pineapple on pizza debate has been going on for who knows how long. I am personally all for pineapple on pizza. Every time I eat this delicious meal I will get the "The is disgusting." phrase said to me at least once if not more. I come from a family that loves this highly looked down upon treat. Ever since I was a little girl, I would constantly be trying to steal my mother's pizza. Did I always get some in the end? Probably. I mean come on, how could you resist a cute little toddler? (Love you Mom)

There are so many reasons why pineapple does belong on pizza and I am here to tell you why.

1. Putting fruit on your pizza makes you think that pizza can at least be somewhat healthy.

I mean, if you're eating pizza calories probably aren't the first thing that comes to your mind. Pineapple is delicious all by itself but it just seems to twist your brain into thinking pineapple pizza is healthy.

2. Pineapple has health benefits.

Pineapples have vitamin C, manganese, thiamin, and so much more.

3. It's both sweet AND savory.

I think this is pretty self explanatory.

4. Many people love it that you can't disagree with.

Thomas Middleditch: "As a kid I didn't get it, now I fully understand. What a treat. What a treat pineapple is."

T.J. Miller: It's sweetness on a pizza!"

Paris Hilton: "I actually like it. I love Hawaiian pizza. I think it's really good."

Justin Trudeau: "I have a pineapple, I have a pizza. And I stand behind this delicious Southwestern Ontario creation #TeamPineapple."

Justin Bieber: "Pineapple on pizza is good, you guys don't like that?"

Lastly, words of wisdom from Alton Brown: "If somebody wants pineapple on their pizza, I don;t think anybody gets to be a Pizza Nazi. You can have whatever you want on it."

To all of the people who disagree, I am sure I will eventually be hearing from you. To all of the people who agree, #TeamPineapple unite.
