I have never really taken the time to think about whether or not fate is a real thing. Watching movies about soulmates and love at first sight was never enough for me to sit down and actually ask myself, does the perfect person for me exist? I always thought the concept of the right person was kind of bizarre. I mean how do you know that your paths are going to ever cross? Who decides that? God? Fate? The Universe? So many questions with no exact answers.
Taking these questions into consideration, how do we know when we've found the one? But more important than that, how do we know that it's the right time? People say that timing is everything. You can't be with someone if it's not the right "time". What if you're only 16 when you meet the love of your life or you just got out of a six year relationship or you are already married to someone else? So how can the concept of timing possibly be reliable?
In my opinion, the "right time" is a bunch of bullshit. It's an excuse for people to say that they can't be with you now, not because they actually can't, because they don't want to. "The timing doesn't feel right." What the f*ck is that supposed to mean? We can never be sure that the timing is right, that is something that we figure out down the road. How do you know its right or wrong if you never try? You don't.
Here's the simple truth: we never meet the right people at the wrong time. If we do, they're probably the wrong people. Why? You are telling me that if you meet someone and fall in love but it's not the right time in your life to have a relationship that you are just going to let them go? What if they meet someone else? The odds of them waiting around for you to be ready for a relationship are slim to none. If you meet someone who is the right one you won't question if it's the right time. I'm not really sure if there is only one "right" person out there for you. But, if there is and if they are the right person it is always the right time.
