The Complete Journey Of Fall Semester As Told By 'Grey's Anatomy'
The Huffington Post

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been going through withdrawal from the best show on television, Grey’s Anatomy.

Thankfully, I a little more than a month, our favorite characters will be back along with Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder. SInce I have such a large obsession with Grey’s Anatomy and I am so done with this semester, I thought I would explain how the Fall of 2016 semester has treated me through my some of my all time favorite characters from Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

The beginning of the semester:

Full of all the cheery and bright ideations of how this semester/year is going to be so much better than the last and getting to see your friends again.

Getting back into an actual routine:

The first assignment:

If you can make it through the first assignment in any class, you'll most of the time be okay for the rest of the semester. Always remember that.

First encounter with your crush:

The first all-nighter:

I wish all-nighters were not a thing but unfortunately, we all know they are.

Class being canceled:

When you ace your first test:

When you fail your first test:

Midterms:

Thanksgiving Break:

When you go home for a week and realize you have no friends at home .

Coming back from Thanksgiving break and realizing you neglected all your work:

When you can’t decide between coffee and wine at midnight:

When you can't do anything but eat:

When your professors decide you don’t have enough work the week before finals:

For some reason this always happens and I am not okay with it.

Finals:

Realizing you study abroad next semester. But also realizing you won't see your friends until next year.

A mix of excitement, sadness, and nervousness all in one.

The last day/week:

Fall semester has its ups and downs for sure, but when it comes down to it, there are more positives than negatives. I hope you can all relate to this even if you don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy and I hope you have a great spring semester!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
