If you have any sort of connection to social media or a teenage girl then you might have heard that the music scene has been experiencing some major revivals in the past couple of weeks. Many artists have been coming out with new music that's hard not to replay three times in a row at full volume. Right when the music scene was beginning to dry out with the same old tracks being played, we got bombarded with track after track of new jams from the likes of Adele and Justin Bieber.
1. One Direction.
It's true that they've come out with an album every year for the last five years. But the boy band has gone through many changes in the last year with Zayn quitting, Louis becoming a dad-to-be, and the band announcing that they plan on taking a two year hiatus. This has been a lot of news to handle. Luckily with every new album, their sound has matured and fans were very pleased with their latest album "Made in the A.M." So while we may not be getting any new 1D music for a while, we were left with some great music to hold us over.
2. Justin Bieber.
Ever since being discovered by his agent at the age of 13, Justin Bieber has been on a major fame roller coaster ride. He started out strong with singles like "One Time" and "Baby." Justin went downhill over the years and it seemed like there would be no redemption for the Biebs. Over the last few months, though, Justin has been giving his fans new hope and surely didn't disappoint with his album "Purpose." With an upcoming world tour, it seems that Justin Bieber is on his way back to the top.
3. Adele.
It's been four agonizing years since Adele came out with "21." The British songstress has taken her time with the latest album of "25." Of course, fans had no problem listening to all her classic songs on repeat, but when she finally dropped the single, Hello, everyone rejoiced. I don't know if it's her incomparable vocals or her truthful lyrics that seem to speak to the soul. Either way, clearly her long breaks between albums work for her and bring such sweet music to our eager ears.
4. Coldplay.
Coldplay has pretty much fallen out of major popularity for a while. Since the band's formation in 1996, they've come out with a number of hit singles and albums. Frontman Chris Martin often showed his love through romantic songs like "Yellow" to his now ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. Coldplay just recently announced that they will be going on a world tour to help promote their final album "A Head Full of Dreams," which is rumored to be featuring Beyonce and Gwyneth Paltrow, among others.
It's literal music to my ears hearing that all these artists and more are making their back onto the music scene for a bit. Personally, I'm still waiting for the Killers to make a comeback, but I guess I can wait a little longer.
