I wish that I could say that I’ve missed you, but we have never met before. I wish I would have met you face to face, but I guess pictures are good for now. I wish that I could talk to you and get to know more about you, but for now, I’m going to have to go off what other people say. I wish that I could say “I love you” to you every single day. No matter how hard I wish for all these things to happen, I know I’m going to have to be patient because there will come a day where I will meet you, get to hug you and get to know the brother I never knew I had.
There are so many stories that you could tell me that nobody else knows. You can tell me what life was like in your perspective instead of all the stories I've heard. Maybe you have an interesting story on something that mom and dad did, or maybe you can share a laugh about what one of our siblings got in trouble for. Who knows... you might even bring uncle Shawn with you when we meet or maybe even aunt Sonia and Sabe. I bet you four are extremely close now; heck you four probably all go on poker runs together every chance you get.
There is so much that I don’t know about you that mom and the girls know. I hear funny stories such as the time you shot out mom and uncle Rob’s car windows with a bebe gun. Mom also told me that you and uncle Shawn were both so close before you left. She showed me a photo of you two when you were in your teens. I bet you two had a lot of catching up to do once you’ve met back up.
Today I will look at the photo of you and my sisters hanging in the living room. You all look so happy! Then there’s that photo with you and mom… you two were grinning from ear to ear as if the best thing ever just happened right before your eyes. Mom has that photo in a special frame in her glass cabinet, you know. I bet that’s one of her favorite photos, and when she looks at that she smiles just as bright as she did in the picture itself.
Before I go, I want to tell you a few things. I know you’re watching us and probably already know what’s happening, but so much has changed since you left. The family that everyone talks about is not the same, but we stand strong together. There’s not a birthday that goes by where mom doesn’t think of you. It doesn’t matter how old you are you are still her baby boy. I know mom and dad don’t say they have favorites, but with the imprint you’ve made in their life, I can guarantee that you’re their favorite child. I’ve got classes to attend, but just remember that we love you and miss you with all our hearts… even if some of us haven’t even met.
Sincerely,
Your little sister on Earth
