As college students, we have those days where we don't feel like leaving the comfort of our room to go out and eat. Especially when winter time comes, majority of us are going to be feeling this type of way. So for college students, or any seniors already planning on what type of snacks to bring to college, here are a couple of things that you can bring, even if you don't have a fridge or a microwave:
1. Ramen
If you have a microwave in your room, stock up on ramen. It is a quick and easy meal that can be prepare in seconds.
2. Candy
It is alright to have candy, but try not to go overboard with it that you get sick eating too much of it
3. Pop
It is a refreshing drink for when you are up on those late nights doing homework and you don't have a coffee maker in your room.
4. Instant Macaroni and Cheese/Instant Meals
These are your comfort foods for when you are stress out socially, mentally and physically. It is very simple to make if you have a microwave in your room.
5. Cereal/Oatmeal
If you feel like you won't have enough time to make it to the dinning halls to grab a quick breakfast, whip up a bowl of cereal or make some oatmeal. At least you have something that can hold you through class until you have that break to eat a 'proper' meal.
6.Chips
Any type of chips that you like, just stock up on it. The munchies tend to be real when you are doing homework, trust me I get them a lot, and you need something to snack on that wont get too messy
7. Chicken Noodle Soup
While you are away from home, there is a high possibility that you will get sick. Make sure to have some chicken noodle soup for those emergencies
8. Cereal Bars
This can be nutrigrain bars, nature valley, lucky charms rice krispies bar (which are very good by the way), and etc. These can be a quick bite for breakfast or whenever you just want something to eat
9. Microwavable Dinners
Please have a microwave in your room, these mini TV dinners will be very helpful for when you are hungry in the middle of the night and the dinning halls are closed. These meals wont let you go hungry in the middle of the night
10. Peanut butter, Jelly, Mayo, Mustard, Sliced Meat, Bread
Go back to the days when someone asked you what you want for lunch and you ask for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a turkey, ham, sandwich. Even though this sounds kind of weird, it's a quick meal that you won't be having to use one of your meal swipes.
11. Fruits, including dried fruit
It is good to have some type of nutritional snack in your room, even if you have access to a fridge or not.
