Say what you want: you work better under pressure, it's an easy assignment, you're just taking a break. We've all been there: procrastination station. And with finals week fast approaching, I thought I'd put together a list of the best TV shows to procrastinate with.

1." Jane the Virgin"

Before I started this show, I wasn't sure I would like it. It seemed too dramatic, too unbelievable, but once I started watching (and didn't stop) I realized that those reasons are exactly why it's perfect. There's suspense, drama, and endless plot twists, but at the end of the day, it's a wholesome, reassuring show. But be warned: you can't just watch one episode.

Binge watch rating: 8/10

I know this show gets a lot of flack, and I know it's not the most intellectual show. But that's exactly why it's great. After studying for ten straight hours, you deserve a mindless break and a little encouragement. After all, is there anything more encouraging than watching millionaires blow through money? You can watch a couple episodes, take a breather for an hour, and feel motivated to keep studying afterward.

Binge watch rating: 5/10

3. "Criminal Minds"

For those of you who want something a little more serious, this one's for you. Filled with drama and suspense, plus a dash of humor, I binge watched eleven seasons all in the summer before my first year of college. I keep coming back to this show whenever I'm bored, showing its true lasting power. Great for a TV break before bed.

Binge watch rating: 4.5/10

4. "Parks and Rec"

Ok, I have to be honest: I've only seen a few episodes of this show, but that notwithstanding, I love Chris Pratt's character. Nearly everyone I've talked to, however, is completely obsessed and insisted that I include it here. Filled with a great cast, humor, and Chris Pratt, what is there not to love? Did I mention Chris Pratt?

Binge watch rating: 7/10

5. "Making a Murderer"

I watched this over a year ago, and I'm still not over this show. It will make you cry, make you angry, and best of all, it will fully distract you from the stress of finals. And the best part: as more develops in the case, you can keep up with it in real time.

During the terror of final exams, projects, and papers, you can't forget to take care of yourself. Maybe you shouldn't spend an entire day in bed with your laptop...but hey, you, do you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
