I think there is one thing almost everyone can agree on: they love watching ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas. I'll admit, I love watching Christmas movies just as much as anyone else. However, there are several holiday movies that ABC Family just didn't put in their lineup this year that I think should have been, and others we could have done without. I have compiled a list of all of the best holiday movies, some of which are a part of the 25 Days of Christmas Line up, and some which are not!
1. "Richie Rich's Christmas Wish"
This one is such a great movie. Not only is it a good Christmas movie, but it teaches kids a life lesson about not acting spoiled and not taking your life for granted because there are less fortunate people out there.
2. "How The Grinch Stole Christmas"
I prefer the live action film, but the animated one is still a classic as well.
3. "The Mistle-tones"
Tia Mowry and Tori Spelling are in competing musical groups and try to sing in the mall Christmas pageant. It's real intense and there is a lot of singing involved, so obviously it's a great time.
4. "The Santa Clause"
Tim Allen turns into Santa Clause in this heartwarming film. It's on ABC Family about 70 times during the month of December, so it's almost impossible for you not to see it at least once.
5. "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer"
In my opinion, this is one of the best animated Christmas movies. Unfortunately it is not a part of the 25 Days line up.
6. "Home Alone"
This movie taught me how to stay safe from intruders as a child. Always a good thing to know.
7. The Classics
I'm talking about Rudolph, Frosty, and all of the really old classic Christmas movies. They never go out of style, even though they are really old and have weird animation.
8. "Elf"
Who doesn't love "Elf?" It's so quotable, and by the time Christmas finally comes, I know I will have quoted it at least 100 times.
9. "The Ultimate Christmas Present"
A DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) throwback. I always looked forward to watching this when I was younger.
10. "A Christmas Story"
Would it even be Christmas if you didn't watch "A Christmas Story" on TBS for 24 hours straight?
