It’s so strange how much you change and grow throughout the years. When I was graduating high school, I would have never thought that I would be the person I am today. A teacher once told me that “high school friends are a lack of options; you meet your true friends in college.” When he said that I did not believe him.
After a few weeks at Mississippi State I knew that was one of the truest things I had heard.
The best part of college has been meeting new people and making new friends. We are all just kind of thrown out on our own and forced to get out of our comfort zone. Although it was scary to have to make new friends, I’m so glad I did because I ended up finding the very best of friends I could have ever asked for.
Thank you for sharing many nights without sleep with me. Whether we stayed out too late or just sat up studying, you were always there for me no matter what. Sitting in bed until we fell asleep, talking about how much we miss our families, the problems with boys, and planning our future will not be the same without you.
Thank you for being so loving. I know that every time I have something to talk about or confess you’ll be right there with open ears and a shoulder to cry on if I need to. I know you will never judge me because you know and love me for who I am. Thank you for never turning your back on me and being there when I needed you the most. I could never make it through some days if I did not have you.
Thank you for helping me to grow into the person I was meant to be. You have pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and try new things. Thank you for sharing your different opinion and thoughts and opening up my mind to new ways. I would not have come this far without you. After meeting all of you throughout this first year of college, I believe we were supposed to be brought together. I am eternally grateful for you all, my best friends.
