The year 2016 has been a year for many things. The human race has achieved many fantastic accomplishments throughout the year! In fact, we as humans are always striving to become better. We constantly ponder how we can be more. A way which we do this is New Year's resolutions! Various members of society pledge themselves to a resolution every year. However, I would say a good portion of resolution makers do not stick with their year-long promise. How does this happen? Below are what I believe to be the nine stages of making a New Year's resolution!
1. Deciding which resolution you should choose
Because making more than one is honestly unrealistic.
2. Committing to your resolution
Trying to convince yourself is the hardest part.
3. The calm before the storm (a.k.a January 1st)
4. When January 1st finally arrives
5. A few days after starting your resolution
You are calm, cool, and collected. You believe you can do anything.
6. A few weeks later
Morale is weak. This is a sensitive time.
7. A month later
8. Realizing it's not going to work out
You tried your best and that's all that matters! You can try again next year.
9. Repeat steps 1-8 again next January
