When you are an organizational freak (like me), finding a planner and keeping it somewhat organized/prettyish looking is hard because even the smallest little eraser mark can send you into a frenzy of wanting a new planner and oh god this one is ruined so here are the 9 stages of what people like me go through when getting a new planner.

1. Realizing you need a new planner

Walking into Target and browsing through those shiny new books that are going to hold your entire life.

2. Finally picking that perfect planner

Finding the planner that is going to make your life so much easier and has that feeling where you think you might never love an inanimate object more.

3. Questioning when to start using it

The planner you already have goes until September, but it’s August and school starts soon so you might as well ignore those last 2 months in the planner you are already using and start the new one.

4. Picking which color is going to be assigned to what class/event

Pink is for birthdays, blue is math, orange is English, green is engineering, purple is psych, and red is work.

5. Carefully writing in the dates

Trying so hard to not mess up and not write anything wrong in fear of having to cross things out and make the planner ruined

6. Moving onto writing your class schedule into the daily part

This is the hardest part because you tell yourself that you aren’t gonna mess up this time, but let’s be honest you are going to write something wrong or write it on a day that you don’t have class and have to cross something off.

7. Messing something up

Yup, you did it. You messed up somewhere and had to cross something off and now your whole planner is ruined. (not really but it doesn’t look perfect.)

8. Realizing that plans are gonna change and your planner is never going to be perfect

Let’s face it plans are going to change and things are going to get crossed out, but that’s okay because your planner, just like your life is going to be a little crazy and messy and unorganized.

9. Repeat Steps 1-7 when your other planner runs out.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
