As the weather gets better, and spring prepares for summer, it's prime time to listen to country music while cruising down the road with the windows rolled down. Or, it's time to just listen to country while you study in the dorm room because it's not quite summer, despite our hopes. Either way, I've compiled a list of today's country hits as different days of the week because we all know every day of the week has its own personality.
1. Monday: "Just Gettin' Started" by Jason Aldean.
The title of the song says it all. Monday is only the beginning of the week and while it may be easy to be down and drag your way through Monday, as Jason would say, we're "just gettin' it started" so let's get it started and make it awesome!
2. Tuesday: "Smoke Break" by Carrie Underwood.
I feel like Tuesday is a commonly disliked day of the week. It's always been my enemy. Tuesday isn't Monday (the start of the week), it's not the middle of the week yet (Wednesday), but it's also not the end of the week. Even Thursday is better than Tuesday because Friday comes right after. Everyone deserves a nice, long smoke break on Tuesdays because you made it through Monday and have more than half the week to go.
3. Wednesday: "Kick the Dust Up" by Luke Bryan.
It's time to "kick the dust up" because we've made it half-way through the week! Plus, you made it past Tuesday so that in itself is enough.
4. Thursday: "Crushin' It" by Brad Paisley.
Now that it's Thursday, you can officially say that you're "crushin' it" because you're almost done with the week and Friday is tomorrow. What could be better?
5. Friday: "Night's on Fire" by David Nail.
This may be one of the most universally loved days of the week and for this reason, my favorite country song earns the Friday song. While it was hard not to name Eric Paslay's "Friday Night" as the Friday song, I decided to be a little more creative. This song inhibits the feeling of a fantastic Friday night whether it's staying in and being lazy or going out, hopefully your night will be on fire.
6. Saturday: "Die a Happy Man" by Thomas Rhett.
Saturdays are your day. It's your day to lounge around in the morning and maybe sleep in, but it can also be your day to be productive and busy. It's really up to you and as long as you do what makes you happy, you can "die a happy man" (or woman). That's the fantastic thing about Saturday.
7. Sunday: "Sure Be Cool If You Did" by Blake Shelton.
So, if you're a college student, Sunday is probably designated as your homework/study day and it'd "sure be cool if you did" all that homework you put off. Don't feel guilty for procrastinating though. Friday and Saturday are 100% your day and you deserved to enjoy them! However, it's time to crack down on the studying, so good luck!
