1. Monday

Monday is one of the obvious best days to wear black because your soul is essentially dying as you realize that you have to be a person again for the next 5 days. The mourning of the weekend can be accurately expressed via a large black sweater and black leggings paired with your favorite black riding boots. Of course, don’t forget your cup of coffee (I obviously take mine black) to tie the look together because it's Monday and you need that nice jolt.

2. Tuesday

You made it through Monday and as you make your way through the week you’re feeling a little productive, but mostly sad because you still have four more days of crippling responsibility, so you decide to wear black. I usually go for something like a massive knit sweater (maybe a gray & black combo?) and sensible pair of black skinny jeans, because it’s the beginning of the week and you have to look slightly put together, right?

3. Wednesday

It’s Wednesday, and you are now officially halfway through the week. After two days you’re finally awake and because you anticipate hearing “hump day” about a thousand times, you wear black to get yourself in the mood… because nothing's sexier than a little black dress. I usually play it safe by pairing this with a work-appropriate, yet stylish pair of pantyhose and booties, because professional can be cute.

4. Thursday

One day until Friday, so you don’t have much time to get ready in the morning because you’re too busy thinking about the weekend. I usually opt for a black turtleneck and black skinny jeans, fully equipped with black flats and a pretty great statement necklace that says you’re ready for Saturday night, but isn’t too in your face.

5. Friday

It’s casual Friday, so that means it’s the perfect day to wear black. You’re stoked for the many activities you have planned (or none at all if that’s how you roll), so what better way to express it than with your favorite band t-shirt? I usually opt for Led Zeppelin or ACDC, but whatever floats your boat works fine. Because I’m feeling wild I decide to wear gray skinny jeans and maybe my vans because comfy grunge is the best kind of grunge.

6. Saturday

The best day of the week, so obviously the best day of the week to wear black. You need to let the world know that you’re going to do whatever the hell you want. Black is not only the most flattering color, but also the color of rebellion. So whether you’re lying on your couch and vegging out with Netflix, or you have plans to go buck wild all day and all night, black is the best color to let the world know that Saturday is your day, damn it.

7. Sunday

Ahh, Sunday. Whether you need to recover from a crazy night out or finish an entire pizza and bottle of wine in your apartment, black is the perfect color for a lazy Sunday. Every other color just seems too happy and bright, especially because you’re feeling sleepy and a little sad that tomorrow is Monday. Even if you're Sunday brunching with friends, black is the classiest and most put together of all colors, so you can go from your favorite brunch spot to your favorite snooze spot all without having to worry about changing, and that’s a win for sure.

It's pretty clear that black is suitable for every day, in every way. Whether you're at the office, out with friends, or just loafing around, you can never wear too much black!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
