As the end of the semester approaches, us students are faced with impending finals and we are all simultaneously losing our minds. Whether it be high school or college, finals are a stressful time and always have students questioning their intelligence. As someone who has taken many a final, I have deemed myself a professional and, as such, I have devised the following stages of taking a final.

1. I got this.

Okay, so you've spent the past week cramming an entire semester's worth of information into your brain. You've memorized the study guide. You know everything. You could take this test with your eyes closed and your hands tied behind your back. Easy breezy.

2. Okay, so maybe I didn't memorize everything.

So there's a few questions on here that you don't really remember seeing on the study guide, or you might have missed those classes. No big deal, you can just skip those and come back to them later. You don't need a hundred on this test anyways. You did the math beforehand and you actually only need a 75.

3. We didn't learn THAT in class.

What's this? What's that? You've never heard of this. Did we talk about this? Was this one of the days you missed? What does this even have to do with the class? I'm so confused. Hopefully everyone will get this question wrong and we'll get extra points.

4. Am I in the right class?

You could have walked into the wrong class. This could be a different class. That could explain why you're confused. That's why you are stuck on number 4 and half the class already turned the test in. That's it, you're in the wrong class.

5. Yep, I'm going to fail.

So, for the past couple questions you have just put "C" because you remember Christine saying something about that on an episode of "Grey's Anatomy" and she's a smart person, I mean she is a doctor, so you trust her. However, you really doubt half the answers to this test are "C," so I'm ready to fail.

6. Is school really necessary?

There are plenty of people that have had perfectly good lives without going to school, so maybe you don't have to either. You could become a YouTuber, or a YouTuber's assistant. Maybe you should Google jobs that don't require a college degree.

Finals can stress students out so much that they completely rethink what they're doing at school and it can really mess with someone's head. It's important to understand that most students go through these 6 stages during at least 1, if not all, of the finals they take. It's normal to be stressed and to doubt yourself, but don't let that cloud your thoughts because you've got this!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
