If you are currently in college then at this very moment, you are experiencing a College Summer. For some of you this may be your first college summer. If that is the case, then over the past couple of weeks you may have experienced these stages.

Stage 1: Excitement

This stage takes place from the end of your last Final and last until the First week of summer. During this time, you have returned home and have only spoken to immediately family, grandparents, and maybe one or two of you're closest best friends. Also, you haven't done anything too extravagant, your summer adventures at this time only includes going out to eat at your favorite restaurant, with your parents paying, and maybe swims in the pool or lake.

Stage 2: Bliss

The stage of bliss is usually felt from week Two and continues until week Four of summer. It is at this time when you are finally getting around to seeing other family members, and those friends that you deemed worthy enough to meet back up with. Also your attitude is at its highest in that you are enjoying your summer the most. Your summer activities usually include visiting the local amusement park, more swims, and maybe a family picnic.

Stage 3: Boredom

Boredom usually lasts from weeks Five to Seven, and don't get me wrong, you're still doing fun activities, that probably now include camping, family BBQ's, concerts and even partying, if that's your thing. But all the activities have become rather repetitive, and this is where the boredom comes from. Also summer jobs start becoming a hassle as they cut more and more into your free time.

One of the main reasons why you have become bored is because of your college friends. Because It's during this time when you start to really miss them. This is when you realize that when you were bored in college, all you had to do to find entertainment was walk down the hall, or up a flight of stairs, or even as far as another building to have fun. It's not that your family is boring, or maybe they are, it's just that the friends you made in college are friends that really get you. Family and friends may have said things that trigger inside jokes that you no longer have someone to relish in them with. And it is for these reasons why boredom has started to kick in.

Stage 4: Regret

At first you may think that regret is a strange thing to have in the stages of the college summer, but just let me explain. Regret takes place in weeks Eight and Nine. At this point, family is usually starting to get on your nerves and the slightest things they say or do make you mad.

Regret comes in when you start asking yourself why you didn't sign up those summer classes, or why you didn't take the time to find extra friends who live closer to you, or even make plans with your current friends to meet up at a concert or any other activity that you could all do together.

Stage 5: Eagerness

Weeks Ten through Twelve are weeks of eagerness! College starts up soon, and you have probably started school shopping once again. You begin to start visualizing what your new dorm room will look like, and if you are like me, you start to creep on the new freshman page to see what next year will bring to the campus. As for summer activities, you have basically done everything you planned and is just focusing on the new year of college and getting ready for move in day.

Stage 6: Excitement

Yes, excitement has two parts in the stages of a college summer. That is because we are finally here, Week Thirteen. Week Thirteen is only a few days way from the start of a new college year, and while your summer was fun, you can only look forward to seeing your friends again and being independent once more. No longer will you be scrutinized by your parents and you don't have to check in with them anymore. At this point in time, that only activity that you are doing now is counting down the days until you return to college.

While you will miss your family, is has been thirteen weeks since you have seen your college family and nothing will stop you from getting back to them. But for now, the only thing you can do, is count down day until you are reunited once more.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
