The 5 Best Gifts For College Students

The holiday season is among us, and for most adults this means a lot of stress and a whole lot of shopping. For us college students, the holiday season means sleeping in, comfy clothes all day, homemade meals and seeing our friends and family everyday. What’s better than that?

Along with the holiday season comes gift giving. Late November to early December is when you get the constant question — "what do you want for Christmas?” If you’re anything like me, there are plenty of things you want and a few things you might need. Here is a list of gifts that most college students would love!

1. Money!

In my opinion, money is a great gift for us college students who would be happy with just about $10. That’s $10 we do not have! Money is a great gift for the holidays because you don't have to worry about someone not liking whatever you got them. With money, students can pick out whatever they would like.

2. Similar to money, gift cards!

Gift cards are such an easy way to go! Just make sure that you get someone a gift card to a place they actually like. If you know one of your friends loves Target (me!), but you don’t want to pick out something for them, just get him or her a gift card.

3. Headphones.

Okay, so this just might be me, but I think headphones are an awesome gift for college students. Whether we are in the library, our dorms or anywhere trying to do our own thing, it’s nice to have a great set of headphones so we can tune out everything else going on. If you happen to find a cute pair, that’s a bonus!

4. Apartment Décor

Apartment décor, dorm décor, etc. College students live for this stuff! One of the greatest parts of college is being an individual and having your own room to decorate! Whether that be candles, pillows, coasters, wall art, and so on, there’s nothing better than receiving some cute apartment necessities that you didn’t even have to spend your own money on.

5. A pet. (Shoutout to mom: please, please!)

If you’re like me, you’ve probably had “dog or cat” on your Christmas list for over five years. Yes, pets require a lot of care and time, but they are amazing companions that everyone needs in their lives.
