The year you graduate from high school is the most exciting year of your life, or so people say. You leave behind the legacy you have created the past four years in high school so you can create new legacies, memories and experience in college. The year you graduate from high school starts with lasts: last prom, last high school football game, last time you will see your friends before Thanksgiving break. However, the best part about graduating high school is that although it is filled with lasts, there are even more firsts that fill their void. Although the class of 2015 is sad to see such an amazing year flee, we are all eager for even more lasts and firsts that will come our way in 2016.
1. Waking up on Jan. 1, 2015, and thinking, "I'm going to college this year."
2. Going on senior year spring break with your best friends since forever.
3.Throwing water balloons in the hallway, putting saran wrap over the toilets, or any other senior prank.
4. Saying “this is the one” to your home for the next four years.
5. The free feeling after the last bell of your last high school class rang.
6. Throwing your graduation cap in the air, officially becoming a high school graduate.
7. Taking senior pictures (just so you can have a cute new profile picture)
8. Endlessly stalking potential college roommates on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and basically every social media platform in existence.
9. Saying goodbye to your best friends, some for the last time.
10. Talking to your roommate throughout the summer.
11. Arriving to your college campus for the first time, a place full of opportunity and new beginning.
12. Your first sleepless night spent in the library.
13. Setting up your dorm room.
14. Pledging a fraternity or sorority and instantly gaining hundreds of new friends.
15. Having your first “I’ve met my bridesmaids” moment with your new friends.
16. Your first college football game as a student.
17. Coming back home for the first time and realizing just how lucky you are.
18. Getting lost on your way to your first class, and ending up on the total opposite end of campus.
19. Starting to find who you are, and what you want to become.
20. Finding the beauty in things ending so better things can begin
Class of 2016, get ready for the greatest year of your life...so far.
