Everyone knows that there is a secret rule book that every girl owns that explains all aspects about "Girl Code." Hell, even guys have it. It's nearly impossible to be friends with someone without creating rules or boundaries, so here's to help you out in learning about a few unwritten rules of "Girl Code."

1. Respect.

It is so important that you give the respect to your friends that you would want them to give to you. That being said, you should also respect yourself. If you cant respect yourself how do you think you can respect others.

2. Mates before dates.

No matter what, your friends are more important than someone you are interested in. Yes, your significant other can provide you with things that your friends can't necessarily give you, but friends last a lifetime, and you don't want to lose one to some person that might last a short while.

3. Watch out for each other.

Don't let your friends wander off by themselves. Having friends is a little like marriage. You made an unspoken promise that you would stand by their side in sickness and in health. Don't let your friends make bad choices. If you want them to have your back, make an effort to watch theirs.

4. Be honest with each other.

No one likes fake friends. If you have something that is bothering you, then you should tell your friends. Honesty is so important in any relationship. Even if you are afraid of their response have the courtesy to make your friend aware of what is going on. You are friends because you trust each other, so make sure that you tell each other the truth.

5. Don't date each other's ex or crushes.

There is a zero tolerance policy about dating a friends ex. It is just not allowed. Even if you are really interested in pursuing a person, you shouldn't. Think about what your friend would say if you were to go after their ex or someone they are interested in. Imagine if you were in their spot. That would suck, right?

6. Don't be afraid to say no, or even yes.

There is nothing wrong with telling someone that you aren't interested. Don't be afraid to say no to someone when you want to be left alone. Your friends will always have your back and support your decisions! That being said, make sure you put yourself out there! Life is about the journey, not the destination! If you want to talk to this really cute person then go for it. There is no reason you should stop yourself. You might just make their day!

7. Don't make promises you cant keep.

There is no reason that you should be promising things to people unless you know that you can keep that promise. Promises are really important so when you break one, it hurts even more.

8. Don't talk crap behind each others back.

This one is self-explanatory, if you have a problem, tell your friends. There is no reason for you to go around saying bad things about each other. Remember, no one likes fake people.

9. Take responsibility for your actions.

If you made a mistake, then own up to it. Trust me, hearing the truth from a friend rather than a random is better. If you hooked up with someone you shouldn't have, then be upfront and take responsibility. Expect the repercussions.

10. Call each other out on their crap.

No one wants a friend who lies, or is being annoying. If your friend is giving you a hard time tell them. If your friend is being a jerk then you need to alert her that her behavior is not chill. I would rather a friend be straight up and tell me when I'm crossing a line rather than wait for when it all blows up.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
