Every college student pushes through fall finals with one common goal; Just to get to winter break. A time without alarms, to-do lists, schedules and exams. But once winter break is here, the feelings change very, very rapidly.
Stage 1: The relief.
Finals are finished, grades are submitted, and the family is reunited.
Stage 2: The holidays.
Last minute Christmas shopping, reuniting with family, and ringing in the New Year.
Stage 3: The food coma.
Because home cooked food never tasted so good.
Stage 4: The boredom.
And missing all of our college friends.
Stage 5: The naps.
Cat naps, power naps, long naps. Is there a wrong type of nap?
Stage 6: The "How did I survive 18 years here?!?" thoughts.
Chores, curfews, and crazy siblings. Enough said.
Stage 7: The Netflix binge watch.
What do you mean it's not normal to finish the new season of New Girl in 4 days?
Stage 8: The "So much to do, so little time".
Dropping the class we were way too crazy to add in the first place, filling in our new semesters planner, packing, and saying goodbyes.
Stage 9: The "I can't afford next semesters textbook's" dread.
Oh this class has a $200 book? Guess I didn't really need that class anyway.
Stage 10: The "How did this go by so fast??"
One month home sure can be a roller coaster of ups and downs; but, the roller coaster is fast and it stops for nobody.
