Fall is coming and we all know what that means -- a crisp breeze, stylin' boots, and the Starbucks pumpkin spice latte. It also means that recruitment is over and sorority women across the country can breathe again. What better way to wrap up a stressful recruitment week than to relive it -- TSwizzle style. Like, how was she not in a sorority?
We all have friends in other sororities, and we love them all the same -- until recruitment comes along, because we all know that rush means war.
'Cause baby now we got bad blood, you know it used to be pan love
Tensions during recruitment run high, especially after all those late night practices that leave you doing skits like
And all I’ve seen since 18 hours ago is blue eyes, and glitter, and fake smiles in the back of my mind making me feel like **I don’t need to** know you better, know you better, know you better, now
Just when you think you can't take it anymore, recruitment begins.
Take a deep breath as they walk through those doors, it's the start of our first party.
But, then you fall in love with the girls and the nerves go away so you're all about making them fall in love with you, too.
You don't know about about us, but we know you want to.
There's always that one PNM coming in hot for hugs.
And the girl talking to you about her favorite type of dragon.
Hello? Is anyone there? Damsel in distress over here.
Just when you think all hope is lost, you meet your rush crush.
‘Cause all I know is we said, “Hello”, and your eyes looks like coming home; all I know is a simple name, everything has changed.
She tells you that your house is the only place she wants to be.
Stahhhhhhpp
But then she drops you.
Can’t you see that I’m the one who understands you? Been here all along so why can’t you see that you belong with me.
Because, yeah, you're dramatic like that.
But you keep trucking, and your sisters tell you that you need to shake it off.
You brush yourself off and jump up on stage for skits, because, let's face it, you're still awesome.
Your mood has changed and you see all of the amazing girls still here.
But we’ve got a bid card baby, and we’ll write your name.
Bid day finally comes around.
Can you feel this magic in the air? It must have been the way you tackled me, fell in love with my letters over there, it must have been the way bid day is a fairytale.
Your new girls run out and you realize that they're all absolutely perfect.
Because -- sorry that you're not sorry.
Take a second to pat yourself on the back because your sorority crushed recruitment week.
And kiss Recruitment 2015 goodbye.
It's all wrapped up and you can finally relax. All that's left is to teach the new babies your hand sign.
But that, of course, is a work in progress.
