It’s about that time. In a few short days we will all be heading back home for Thanksgiving break. Whether your house is 30 minutes from campus or 10 hours away, here are some things that are guaranteed to happen to all of us during this much needed time off.

1. When you finish up your last class before break.

2. When you pack up everything you need for a week away from campus.

3. When you finally arrive home.

4. When you wake up after 12 straight hours of sleeping.

5. When your parents make you clean the house before guests come over.

6. When you finally get to eat a home cooked Thanksgiving dinner.

7. When you go Black Friday shopping…but then remember you have no money.

8. When you watch Netflix all through the day and night.

9. When you convince your mom to do all your laundry.

10. When you remember that you have 3 tests, 1 essay, and 4 homework assignments due next week.

11. When you have to leave home and realize you should probably start studying for finals.

Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
