Why I Am Thankful To Have A Will In My Life
Marisa Combs

I have always been a fan of the hit tv show, Will & Grace. The show is about a straight woman, Grace who lives in an apartment with her gay lawyer best friend since college, Will. The TV show is set in New York City and focuses on the relationship between Will and Grace. The show brings up some controversial topics, but at the same time brings tons of laughter and breaks the stereotypes of the homosexual culture. While being a fan of the show, I always thought what it would be like to have a Will. Someone to be that male in my life that I didn't have to to worry about acting perfect around, someone to tell me when I'm acting insane to tell me to stop, someone to give me guy advice, someone to bring adventure to my life, but most importantly be a lifelong friend. Like Grace and Will's friendship. Meeting my Will was totally unexpected. We are polar opposites but somehow and in some strange way, we became in separable. He become the Will that I wanted in my life.

Like mentioned earlier, my Will and I met unexpectedly. We met at a freshman event at school, while both standing in line for free pizza. He was with a friend I knew before hand and I was also with a friend. We just started talking and then all of a sudden, we both exchanged phone numbers. I honestly thought we weren't going to be close, one of those friendships that may last for a few days, then just simply stop talking and become acquaintances. I just wanted free pizza and to move on with my night. Once I got back to my dorm room, I got a text from him saying, "It was nice meeting you! Lunch tomorrow?" Then from that point on, a pretty great friendship started.

Will and Grace did meet in college, but the show is set when they are both out college, well into their adult lives. I am pretty sure that my Will and I are like what Will and Grace were like in college. Maybe they had daily lunch and dinner dates, maybe they spent hours together in the library, vent sessions at 1 AM, or movie nights in one of their dorm rooms. Maybe they did all of those things or none of them all, but from watching the show, my Will's and I friendship is pretty close. That's our friendship in a nutshell and I am thankful to have him in my life. He taught me so much and I could go on forever about those. I may not act like act I am thankful to have him in my life, I am. No matter how much he drives me crazy. Every girl deserves a Will, it is one of the greatest friendships, ever. We do drive each other crazy, we definitely have our moments, but at the end of the day, we both know that's there's no way one of us is leaving.

When my Will and I graduate from college, I am positive that we will still be Will and Grace. We may have an apartment together, or have our houses right next door to each other, or may live in different states. Wherever life takes us, we will always be known to each others as, Will and Grace.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
