6 Thank You's To My Best Friend As Told By 'Friends'

Finding a best friend is the best thing any girl can ask for. Every girl needs a best friend, especially one who loves you for who you are, supports you, loves watching movies, doesn’t mind sharing her family with you, and eating ice cream in the middle of the night together. Find a best friend that is always there for you, makes you laugh, accepts you, and you can imagine standing by your side in life's biggest moments.

1. Thank you for always being there for me.

No matter what we just went through, you are always there for me. Even though we are 1,760 miles away from each other, you still always have the perfect thing to cheer me up or something really encouraging to make my day better.

2.Thank you for always supporting me.

Even though I decided to go 1,760 miles away for college, you still support me. Having a best friend who supports me in all my decisions helps when we have to make hard decisions, like moving across the United States. When there is something I don’t want to do, you always tell me I need to go through with it with a smile on my face and I actually might enjoy it.

3. Thank you for making me laugh.

Whether I am in the mood to laugh or cry, you always find a way to make me laugh. Those nights where we think everything was funny were the best memories. Either we’re laughing because something was genuinely funny or laughing because we are beyond tired and are having too much fun to go to bed.

4. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

Ever since I moved to the same middle school as you, you were always accepting. I know I can be crazy sometimes and overthink a lot of situations but you always accept me for who I am. I feel like I don’t need to be someone who I am not while I’m around you.

5. Thank you for sharing your family with me.

Having your family in my life is such a blessing. Being able to go on vacations with your family, going to dinner, or just hanging out at your house is a lot of fun with your family. I feel so accepted in your family and I feel like I have another family outside of my immediate family. Even though our families can be crazy I still love them all and I am so proud to call your family my second family.

6. Thank you for never leaving me.

All those times I have made bad decisions and you never left my side. When I got to caught up with my boyfriend that I stopped hanging out with you, you stuck by me and was there for me when I needed you even though I cut you out of my life for a little bit. Even when I need a break from everyone and I want to hang out alone, you understand or when I have a long day and forget to text you, you understand.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
